PhoenixPhoodies--a matter of good TASTES

Food was:

Shrimp salad/endive appetizers paired with prosecco

Clams and linguisa paired with Summerland central coast sauvignon blanc

Coq au vin and cheesy grits paired with pinot noir

Midwestern Meats bone-in ribeye with wasabi mashed potatoes paired with Schug Heritage Reserve Merlot

Orange marscapone in crepe cups with tangerine butter sauce paired with Castle late harvest viogner

We covered a huge number of restaurants but I thought I would list some from memory here that we were all talking about. To help everyone remember, why not leave a comment with one or two I have forgotten or ones you didn't think to offer that night.

Holiday In Carneros
This festival is held every November just before Thanksgiving. This year, it's Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22 and 23. For $25, 18 or so wineries are open to tastings and many pair tastings with tastes of delicious food. Still others offer local music, vendors and other products such as their olive oil.

We usually stay in Santa Rosa or Sonoma. More information coming...
